Welcome!!

I am a philosopher of science and a biologist. I work at the intersection of science and society, engaging in inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations with scientists, policymakers, artists, and local communities. I use philosophy of science to make the world better by address pressing planetary challenges (including biodiversity conservation, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic).

My work is empirically grounded and socially engaged, with a strong focus on achieving direct societal impact. It aligns closely with four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Good Health and Well-being (3), Climate Action (13), Life on Land (15), and Partnerships for the Goals (17) - (take a peak at my ‘Publications’ and ‘Projects’).

My late interests explore the interface between epistemic practices and value systems across scientific, policy, and community contexts—particularly in efforts to bridge local and intergovernmental decision-making. I am specifically passionate by Arts and Sciences projects and in understanding how our aesthetic experiences of the environment shape our relations to nature (eyes out to ‘Outreach’).

I am currently a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester, embedded in the project ‘Interdisciplinary Systematic Review: mechanistic evidence and epistemic justice’ funded by the UKRI.
